about me:

Hi everyone! My name is Sofia Posadas and I am super excited to serve as your Artistic Director for the 2023-2024 school year. I am a third year double majoring in Global Development Studies and Sociology so I am passionate about a lot of things… salsa included! I come from a background of dance and Latin music, with my Venezuelan family’s love of salsa music motivating me to join the club upon arriving here. During my first year I served as the Logistics Chair for Salsa Fest 2022, and last year I was the Salsa Secretary. I love planning shows and projects and doing the director/managerial tasks that others might find tedious. Showcase is my favorite event of each semester and I am so excited to put it on this year! I absolutely love salsa (the best style, no question about it) and am excited to meet more of you this upcoming year! Always feel free to come up to talk to me at lessons, I always love meeting spicy salseras and salseros!
