SalsaFest is an annual Latin dance congress hosted by the University Salsa Club every February! Every year, we invite about nine professional dance instructors to teach lessons in various Latin styles throughout the day. The congress then features performances from these instructors, our own members, and Latin dance clubs from nearby universities! The night concludes with social dancing until midnight!

Anyone can buy a ticket and attend SalsaFest! The event typically welcomes about 500 attendees from the Charlottesville community and surrounding region. Attendees gain access to all SalsaFest lessons, performances, and social dancing, and we provide a discount for any students wishing to attend. It is a wonderful opportunity to hone your Latin dance skills, learn a new Latin style, meet like-minded dancers in the area, or just try out something new on the weekend! We have lessons of varying levels throughout the day so any beginner dancers will have opportunities to learn the basics and advanced dancers can really fine-tune their skills.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs.

The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization's contracts, acts or omissions.
