Interested in joining the performance team?

Auditions for the Performance Team happen at the same time as Showcase Auditions in the Fall semester of each school year. If you love performing in our Showcases each semester and are a returning/advanced member, this is a great opportunity for you! Members can select the Performance Team in their dance preference rankings and will be considered for the team!

The team is led by the Salsa Club President, who choreographs an advanced salsa and teaches it to selected Performance Team dancers. Dancers are expected to learn the dance at an accelerated pace to be ready for performances throughout the year! They learn to perform the dance with any lead or follow on the team and perform the dance as a group at the club’s Fall Showcase. Each team member maintains their position on the team for a full school year and performs the dance 3-4 times per semester during this time at exciting events on and off-Grounds!

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs.
